Timeline photosUnder perfect conditions it takes time to get water from a hydrant, but during the winter months it could take even longer if we have to dig a hydrant out of snow before we could hook up to it. So get out and help your local fire department this winter; dig out your nearest hydrant!
This will assist us if we should need to use it and help speed up our response to fires.
Also it is a huge help to the fire & rescue members if you keep your sidewalks clear of snow. It makes it much eaisier to get people out of their homes in an emergency.

We knew it was coming, a complete waste of tax payers money…

For tax payers standpoint, how many times in the last 10 years could/would this have been used ??? Maybe 2 ( you can correct me if I’m wrong ) The c&c diesel shop fire and the horse barn fire . SOOOO over 500k (paid by the taxpayers from a bond ) per fire if my math is correct ? Mind you, there is one truck (by Ofd t 78 mins away staffed 24/7) and an Irvington truck that is on automatic dispatch, but apparently we needed to waste 1.4 million dollars on our own pretty ladder truck cuz those two options aren’t good enough!! Show up to the fire board meeting on March 7 th and voice your opinion on how your tax money is being spent. FIA WE DON’T GET TO VOTE ON THESE BONDS, they get forced upon us

Can’t wait to see it. If it helps save lives and property it is money well spent. ๐Ÿ‘

Also,, for those influenced by negativity, for community growth these types of resources are necessary, and, lowers insurance rates. Well done, keep doing good things.

Brad Lucas how is it a waste?

At the price tag of 1.4 million ( tacked on to the tax payer). Why did this cost that much you ask? Im sure all the compartments are fully stocked with all new tools ( cuz god forbid they reuse the old stuff) Ask yourself where in the area would we need a 100’ tower? I ask the same thing. This shouldn’t be the first rig out the door since it only carries 200-300 gals of water ( can go through that in a matter of a few mins.

Scott Iverson Not negativity, showing the tax payers where their wasted money is going, only thing different here is we don’t get to vote on this like we do the school bond. They’re selling an older rig that carries at least 1000 gals of water, that will make your taxes go up per ISO ratings. The reason for this rig? Only answer I’ve heard was it was a few members “dream” to have one, nobody has ever said there was a need.

Awesome truck, you’ll be happy with the purchase

Brad Lucas with all your knowledge why aren’t you the Fire Chief of Omaha Fire Department

Order from here ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ alzatess.com/null-195-633647571?s=gildan-18500&c=White&p=FRONT

Micah Lauf 1. You don’t live here or pay the taxes, your comment is moot! 2. There’s plenty more that have the same opinion just pointing out to other tax payers that don’t realize how this works that yes their tax dollars are being wasted 3. Guess some people aren’t just sheeple๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ‍โ™‚๏ธ

Brad Lucas there are plenty of large lake homes and nursing homes as well as community and commercial buildings that this truck would be of much benefit to. Bennington has a large fire district and surrounding fire districts that this truck will be of use to. As far as “new tools” .. I don’t believe they replaced an aerial truck so they had to get equipment to place in this truck. I doubt that this is their first due rig for every fires, it’s a necessary truck given the potential dangerous fires that could occur in and around their district.

Brad Lucas great use on the buildings if they were to ever catch fire. Shit idk maybe the landfill if that were to ever catch fire. The fast food establishments, apartments, the big houses out there…. I mean the list can go on and on.

Brad Lucas maybe you should go talk to the fire chief so you can get you facts straight. Fire taxes have gone down, even with the new truck being purchased. Your taxes are going up because of schools

Micah Lauf I will be at the next fire district secret meeting, it would be great if they posted the dates of those like they do other stuff. ( they don’t post them online so then nobody shows up to oppose them ) maybe you should come out and be mayor since you know so much about our community?

Brad Lucas they do post it two counties like the law requires. If you don’t buy the paper that’s your problem. They probably don’t post it online because they would have to buy a website and that would be frivolous spending.

You can surely have your difference in opinion, it’s a free country.

Micah Lauf they have a Facebook page right ? They post everything else on here. They don’t want people to show up to oppose them. #Laufenburg for next mayor !!

Brad Lucas Micah Lauf Click here, if you want this T shirt.. Mug, Hoodies. You can select any colour, any size and any designs if you want, You can choice from this link ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡https://teetommy.shop/51-us?s=gildan-18500&c=Irish%20Green&p=FRONT
